Take part in our fundraising challenge for Autoimmune Awareness Month
Are you ready to take on a challenge this March and help change the lives of those living with autoimmune disease?
We are looking for fundraising heroes to join us for our ‘Choose Your Challenge’ fundraising campaign during Autoimmune Awareness Month in March.
Some are choosing to take on a challenge in pairs whilst some are going solo. Whatever you decide, every challenge helps us raise awareness, raise vital funds and change the lives of those living with autoimmune disease.
Choose Your Challenge: Run, walk or cycle, host a bake sale or coffee morning, dance with glow sticks, or more…
The choice is yours. You may want to choose a fitness based fundraising challenge to put yourself to the test, you may want to host a community event that brings people together, or you may choose a unique and creative fundraising challenge that showcases your personality and talents.
We already have one pair of fundraisers taking on a daily yoga challenge, another pair taking on a dance challenge with glow sticks and two brothers on different sides of the world completing 350km of running between them during March… We can’t wait to see what other challenges our community help bring to life!
Whichever challenge you choose, we will be with you every step of the way…
The reality of autoimmune disease, and how you can help…
Over 6 million people in the UK live with the life-changing impact of an autoimmune disease. This takes a huge physical toll on their lives, as well as a significant emotional toll too. A diagnosis often take years and can turn someone’s life upside down. Each year, cases continue to rise, and we believe no one should face this alone.
By fundraising for the Wren Project, you can help ensure people living with autoimmune disease have a safe space to turn when times feel tough. You can make sure that people facing autoimmune disease don’t have to do it alone, and that there’s always someone to talk to about grief, loneliness, anger or isolation that they are experiencing.
Every £57 raised supports one more person to receive our free listening support. Together, we can make a huge difference.
How do I get involved?
As a first step, we would recommend getting in touch with Greg, our Fundraising Officer. He will help you finalise your challenge and answer any questions you may have.
Once you’re ready, Greg will also help you set up your JustGiving page and send you a Wren Project t-shirt ahead of your challenge. We ask each of our fundraisers to commit to raising a minimum of £250 or £400 if fundraising in a pair.
You can contact Greg at community@wrenproject.org or on 0751 2132 920 to talk through your ideas and have your questions answered.
A huge thank you to anyone who is considering getting involved in our Choose Your Challenge campaign, we can’t wait to hear your ideas!
