Join the team: Finance, HR & Governance Officer

Remote | 16 hours per week | £27,500 FTE (£11,000 pro rata)

We're looking for an organised, proactive and adaptable Finance, HR & Governance Officer to join our friendly team at The Wren Project.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of our charity across finance, HR, governance, compliance and organisational administration. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing accurate work and wants to make a meaningful difference while developing their skills.

We're looking for someone with:
- AAT Level 3 (or equivalent qualification or experience in finance administration/bookkeeping)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A practical, proactive approach
- Confidence using digital systems

Start date: Monday 7 September 2026

Role Purpose:

The Finance, HR & Governance Officer will provide essential administrative support across finance, HR and organisational governance. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working across different tasks and is comfortable switching between finance, HR, governance and systems administration. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and pragmatic, with a practical approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn. Working closely with the Head of Finance & HR, they will have opportunities to develop their skills and take on increasing responsibility, particularly in payroll.
