1–2–1 Support with The Wren Project

Compassionate listening for people living with autoimmune diseases

We do not give disease-specific advice or offer solutions. Instead, we listen and quietly support you while you explore how you feel.

We help you to feel understood. You will be matched with a volunteer who you meet regularly, once a fortnight, for up to 50 minutes. Their role is simply to listen with warmth and steadiness.

Who our support is for

What a listening session looks like

Each session is an opportunity to talk about whatever you would like. You might describe how your disease is affecting you physically, how it impacts your daily life, your relationships or your overall quality of life.

You meet with the same volunteer each time, which helps build trust and a genuine rapport.

Living with autoimmune disease can feel isolating and sometimes it feels like no one truly understands. Through one-to-one and group listening, you can explore how you feel with a trusted volunteer, safely and without judgement.

We offer free listening support to anyone living with a diagnosed or suspected autoimmune condition across the UK. To access support, complete our short application form and a member of our team will be in touch.

We exist to offer people living with the grief, complexity and uncertainty of autoimmune disease a calm space to be heard. This is not medical advice. It is a safe and consistent place to talk about what you are experiencing.
